Senior Data Specialist

Microinvest is a non-banking lending company with foreign capital, which offers loans to individuals and entrepreneurs from Republic of Moldova.

We are looking for an experienced Data Warehouse (DWH) and Business Intelligence (BI) professional to drive the enhancement of our analytics system, playing a critical role in shaping data-driven strategies that will fuel our continued growth and success. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead the transformation of Microinvest’s data ecosystem. You will design and implement a centralized data warehouse and BI tools, equipping teams across the company with data insights that support strategic decision-making and promote a culture of innovation.

What do we expect from you?

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
• 3+ years of experience in Data Warehouse design, development, and administration
• Experience in coordinating large-scale data projects, ideally within financial services or microfinance
• Expertise in BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and SQL
• Experience with MSSQL based OLTP systems
• In-depth knowledge of ETL processes, data modeling, and database architecture
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong cross-functionally collaboration skills and ability to foster a cooperative work environment

Your responsibilities:

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of a scalable Data Warehouse architecture that aligns with business needs
• Oversee daily data flow, ensuring data quality, consistency, integrity, and proper handling of historical data
• Gather and document reporting requirements from various departments to ensure data accuracy
• Oversee the security, performance, and availability of the Data Warehouse for analytics purposes
• Integrate BI tools (e.g., Power BI) with the Data Warehouse to enable self-service reporting and create interactive dashboards for informed decision-making
• Create interactive dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for decision-making
• Promote cross-department collaboration on data-driven projects and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making through training and support
