The Mission
ING is looking for a strong Sr. Developer who is technically passionate, solution-focused and able to design, develop, test and maintain high-quality software, while working in a cross-border team of engineers. You will have a global impact, involving the business lines Financial Markets, Risk, Finance, while delivering key components in the Pricing & Risk IT architecture of ING Financial Markets.

Your day-to-day
As a Software Engineer you will work on the latest technologies with a strong focus on performance, large data sets and real-time analytics:
• Distributed systems built around Apache technologies (Camel, Karaf, Ignite, Cassandra, Spark, Flink)
• Java 8/Scala
• Linux infrastructure, containers
• Design and develop automated unit, integration and regression tests
• Create front-end components with Angular
• Transform business requirements into functional design, estimate and plan development with your team and the Product Owner

What you bring to the team
• A university degree in Computer Science, Cybernetics or equivalent
• Strong Java experience (4+ years)
• Experience in developing automated testing
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Confluence, JIRA, Fortify, Git, Jenkins, Maven
• You have a good understanding of distributed Systems Architecture.

• You have a good understanding of banking in general or you are passionate about learning it. You will interact directly with stakeholders.
