QA automation engineer

MAIN RESPONSIBILITY
Make sure that the products work both according to the specifications and according to the best common ergonomic practices.
Participate in defining and updating the test plan for acceptance criteria.
Build and update automated test framework from scratch.
Take part in building and updating manual testing scenarios.
Effectively cover automated tests for all components of the product, both frontend and backend, with systematic reporting of results.
Have a decisive role in the development flow (go / no go), with involvement in the management of deliveries.
Ensure compatibility testing between versions, performance and security.
Test on all common web client environments: PC / Mac / Android / iPhone.
Communicate permanently with the development team for the tested components.
Implement and follow QA procedures and methodology.
To have the ability to participate in defining UX criteria is highly appreciated.
To provide functional feedback aimed at improving the product is also appreciated.


MAIN REQUIREMENTS
At least 3 years’ experience in testing web applications based on REST API.
Extensive experience in testing with all common browsers and tools specific to common client platforms.
Relevant experience with mobile-related interfaces and system features.
Previous experience with automatic scripts and the concept of automation in general.
You are used to the routine of working procedurally and rigorously with bug management, tracking and reporting tools.
Experience working in an agile (scrum) software development team and having the gate-keeper
Hands-on experience in working with SQL queries
Professional experience in automating RESTful API testing (e.g Postman, Rest Assured, SOAP UI etc.)
Relevant programming experience in Java and Javascript
Experience with the latest tools and industry best practices for Front-end web application test automation (e.g. Selenium WebDriver, Cypress) and REST API testing framework
In-depth knowledge of QA concepts, test frameworks and automation tools.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, analytical skills, fanatical attention to detail and curiosity.
Strong desire to work in an unstructured, fast moving startup environment
Team player
Good communication skills, both verbal and written.


NICE TO HAVE
Significant advantage is knowledge of concepts and flows from a similar process from another implementation.
Accustomed to CI / CD, version control systems and multiple environments.
Knowledge of security and online application testing techniques to check for the latest OWASP threats.
Knowledge about stress testing, simulating high volume and distributed API calls.
Analytic skills, formalization experience, mind-mapping.
