Position / Title: Fundraising and Member Programs Director
Report to: Executive Director
Time: Part Time ~30 hrs / week

The Organization

About FSEA - FSEA was conceived by three American small business owners in Moldova as a way to band together to improve the “way business works” in Moldova. All three had experienced corruption, needless bureaucracy and a system badly in need of reform - but completely uninterested in changing. FSEA was created as an “Asociația Patronală” or “Employers Association” as a mechanism to bring together members of Moldova’s Small Business Community to collectively engage in supporting positive change.

FSEA is a membership-based organization composing of over 40 companies and representing 400+ Employees across diverse industries. Companies are 53% Moldovan; 45% Mixed-Capital; 2% Foreign. FSEA supports its members via networking and social events, “First Call” emergency resource and via advocacy on Prime Minister’s Economic Council, Customs Advisory Council, and direct to key government institutions.

Job Description

FSEA currently takes in less than 40% of its required operating budget from Member Dues. The role of the Fundraising and Member Programs Director is to create diverse and sustainable sources of income while developing member programs and maximizing member benefit. The Fundraising and Member Programs Director will develop programs and activities supporting this goal focusing on the following 3 target areas:

1. Internal Opportunities Amongst Members
2. Engaging the Greater Business Community
3. Engaging External Partners and Donors

Example Activities Include (but are not limited to):
- FSEA Newsletter Growth and Monetization
- Events Planning and Management
- Paid Social / Networking Events
- Competitions between Members and other Companies (football tournament, etc)
- Other fundraisers
- Finding General Sponsors (Banks, Telecoms or others with CSR Programs or a desire to appeal to Small Business)
- Donation Drives for in-kind material
- Facebook group for all business in Moldova for recruitment and advertising of events and services
- Creating business support services provided by Members companies and facilitated by FSEA (e.g. webinars, trainings, etc)
- Research Products - Coordinating with partners or relevant member companies to produce Studies / white papers, market competitiveness study, etc that may become an FSEA product

All activities under this position will be judged by the dual impact metrics of Total Funds Raised and Member Engagement. This position will be expected to be revenue-neutral after 4 months and to gain profit following.

Skills / Experience
Required
- Creativity and entrepreneurial spirit
- Experience in a self-starting environment
- Outgoing and confident personality
- Working proficiency in Romanian, Russian and English
- Professional communications skills, written and verbal
- Events planning experience

Desired
- Marketing or design background
- Experience with NGO fundraising work
- Small business management experience

Salary and Benefits

$400 / mo in pocket (approx 6600 lei) - Part Time (Flexible). Can grow based on performance
