BACK-END SOFTWARE ENGINEER (Moldova)

Company Description:
An international IT company that develops and applies artificial intelligence to predict financial and economic events. Company’s products are deployed by some of the world’s largest financial institutions.

Job Profile:
As part of the data platform team, you'll write programs to ingest large amounts of data into company’s platform, and APIs for accessing the data and tests to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data. You will also learn software engineering best practices such as OOP, separation of concerns, test frameworks, code reviews, and continuous integration.

Responsibilities:
● Develop/maintain docker-based data platform to ingest data from external sources and validate/store it in our cloud (centralized databases and distributed stores), and serve it up to applications (centralized and distributed) through internal APIs,
● Develop new application platform, which will sit on top of data platform to make available applications performing higher-level algorithmic operations on data via ingested data APIs. Could be focused on backend or frontend, although full stack is preferable,
● Create and maintain docker-based micro services API (node js/express)
● Write data ingestion modules from external sources (nodejs/python or java)

Qualifications:
● Experience working with databases (mysql)
● Experience with Ruby on Rails
● Experience in using Docker is an important advantage
● Experience working with or understanding the architecture of AWS/ECS services is a plus
● Agile development, continuous integration and test-driven design a plus
● Experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs is an important advantage
