Job description

• Develop and maintain our corporate online portal
• Optimize website performance through database optimization, caching, and resource management
• Implement scalable architectures for high traffic loads
• Integrate new features and services, including core banking system connections
• Develop and maintain custom plugins or modules for WordPress and WooCommerce
• Ensure security and compliance through regular audits
• Implement automated testing to enhance code quality and system reliability
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership

The successful applicant

• Minimum 5 years of web development experience, strong background in WordPress or other CMS (e.g., Joomla, Drupal, Shopify)
• Proven skills in performance tuning, database optimization (e.g., MySQL), and caching strategies (e.g., Redis, Memcached)
• Knowledge of scalable web architectures and load balancing for high-traffic sites
• Proficient in PHP, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and MySQL; experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) is a plus
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., PHPUnit, Selenium) and test-driven development (TDD) is a plus
• Strong understanding of web security best practices (e.g., DDoS mitigation, user data security, HTTPS)
• Experience with API integrations and connecting to external services
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
