Senior Java Developer

As a Senior Java Developer, you will contribute to the development of a cutting-edge RMS used by one of the largest retail solution providers in Europe. This complex, high-performance platform supports thousands of retail operations across multiple markets, requiring robust architecture, scalability, and reliability. In this role, you’ll design and implement new features and components, enhance system performance, and ensure top-tier code quality through automated testing and best engineering practices. You’ll work closely with an experienced team dedicated to delivering innovative, enterprise-grade retail technology solutions.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate actively in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, efficient, and reusable Java code.
• Detect and troubleshoot performance issues, bottlenecks, and defects, implementing effective solutions.
• Propose and implement improvements to enhance existing Java application processes and architecture.
• Pursue ongoing professional growth and stay current with emerging technologies and best practices.

Job Requirements:

• At least 6 years of experience in Java back-end development (Java SE, Spring, Hibernate)
• Experience with relational DBs (MySQL, HyperSQL)
• Experience in developing Web Services (SOAP and REST)
• Strong mindset for automated testing (Cucumber, Mockito, JUnit)
• Comfortable with Git
• Familiar with Jira, Sonar, Jenkins, Docker
• Agile enthusiast
• Action and results orientated, ability to manage multiple priorities is also expected
• Proactive and flexible approach with a resilient and results - orientated nature
• Good spoken and written English is required
• Bachelor's degree in computer sciences or other related fields is good to have.
