Safety Manager

As our Safety Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our drivers and maintaining compliance with all laws and regulations.

Here's what you'll be doing:

• Directing, monitoring, and reviewing safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
• Enforcing strict safety standards and implementing initiatives to prevent accidents.
• Managing monthly DOT and OSHA scorecards for all divisions.
• Providing comprehensive safety training and orientations for new hires- Tracking and reporting weekly and monthly safety incidents and DOT violations.
• Managing the random drug testing program for all required employees.
• Coordinating medical card and license renewals for DOT drivers.
• Ensuring all Federal, State, and Local environmental reporting is up to date.
• Undertaking other tasks to enhance the overall success of the business.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of safety manager experience in trucking inustry (must be able to verify it)
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations
• Experience in developing and implementing safety programs in a manufacturing or industrial setting
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively train employees and write comprehensive reports
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite for report writing and data analysis
