Safety Coordinator

About us:
We’re an asset-based US trucking company operating nationwide with a 150+ truck fleet. As we grow, we’re hiring a Safety Coordinator to strengthen compliance and keep our drivers and equipment operating safely.

Role summary
The Safety Coordinator ensures compliance with FMCSA regulations and company safety policies by managing driver, equipment, and operational safety requirements.

Schedule: Full-time, Mon–Fri | 15:00 - 00:00

What you’ll do

• Driver life cycle: Oversee onboarding compliance (DQ files, Clearinghouse pre-employment query, orientation paperwork).
• ELD & devices: Monitor devices, ELD logins, and unit assignments; resolve mismatches and inactive drivers.
• Licenses & equipment: Track equipment alerts, CDL/medical card expirations, and DMV registrations; notify and follow up before deadlines.
• State mileage reporting: Manage Connecticut (quarterly) and Oregon (monthly) mileage reporting and apply driver charges where applicable.
• Annual reviews: Conduct annual driver reviews (MVR and Clearinghouse queries) and document outcomes.
• Testing & verifications: Coordinate Med-Stop compliance, employment verifications, and random drug/alcohol testing program.
• Records & audits: Maintain organized records for audits; update spreadsheets/TMS with accurate safety data.
• Incident support: Assist with accident/incident intake, documentation, and communication per company SOPs.

What you’ll bring

• Strong attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
• Clear written and verbal English
• Confidence working with spreadsheets, portals, and TMS/ELD dashboards.
• Nice to have but not required: experience in US trucking safety/compliance or dispatch/operations support.
