Chief Accountant

Responsibilities:

• Analyze financial data thoroughly
• Present findings both verbally and in writing to senior management and directors
• Support business profitability and growth through insights and recommendations
• Prepare monthly and annual financial reports and balance sheets
• Manage cash flow effectively
• Evaluate existing accounting systems and propose enhancements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation
• Compile and submit VAT returns
• Collaborate with external auditors
• Handle budgeting and forecasting activities
• Reconcile accounts accurately
• Address financial inquiries by collecting and interpreting data
• Verify the accuracy of financial records
• Provide supervision and training to staff as required
• Promote continuous improvement in accounting practices
• Strategically plan the establishment of a shared services center for finance and accounting functions
• Implement process and system enhancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the shared services center
• Lead projects and initiatives across the shared services organization

Requirements:

• Higher education degree in Accounting or related field
• 3 years of experience in accounting/finance role
• Fluency in spoken and written Romanian/Russian/English
• Strong knowledge of tax law and labor law
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency in 1C ver.8.3
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Attention to details and responsibility
