The U.S. Mission in Chisinau, Moldova is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the position of Guard Shift Supervisor in the Regional Security Office.

BASIC FUNCTION OF POSITION
Incumbent serves as one of five guard shift supervisors in the Embassy's Local Guard Force (LGF). LGF Shift Supervisor provides daily operational guidance to LGF and ensures security regulations are being properly enforced by the guards at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
Applicants must address each required qualification listed below with specific and comprehensive information supporting each item. Failure to do so may result in a determination that the applicant is not qualified.

1. EDUCATION: Completion of secondary school is required.
2. EXPERIENCE: Minimum two years of protective and facility access control security experience at a diplomatic mission, police, military or private security company are required.
3. LANGUAGE: Level III (Good Working Knowledge) speaking/reading/writing English, Romanian and Russian are required. This will be tested.

4. Incumbent must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and be able to occasionally lift heavy items up to 25 lbs (12 kg).

5. Must possess and be able to maintain a motor vehicle driver license (local Class B). Driving skills will be tested.

6. Must have some working knowledge of first aid procedures and fire protection equipment. Must be familiar with local area, including location and function of local police forces and fire departments.
