A US based Startup specialized in Data Science, BigData and Machine Learning Technologies is looking for team members for its new Moldova Office. We are a group of passionate technologists, mathematicians, data scientists and programmers in Silicon Valley with over 100 patents to our names.
We are developing and applying innovative machine-learning technologies to big data to predict financial, economic, and world events.
Big Data Federation was incorporated in 2015 and is based in Palo Alto, California.

Responsibilities:

Will be responsible for developing/maintaining our docker-based data platform, which serves to ingest data from external sources and validate/store it in our cloud (centralised databases and distributed stores), then serves it up to applications (again, centralised and distributed) through internal APIs. Also help develop new application platform, which will sit on top of data platform to make available applications performing higher-level algorithmic operations on data via ingested data APIs. Could be focused on back-end or front-end, although full stack is preferable.

* Creating and maintaining docker based microservices API (nodejs/express), experience creating and consuming RESTful APIs is an important advantage.
* Writing data scraping modules (nodejs/python or java)
* Experience working with databases (mysql)
* Experience in using Docker is an important advantage
* Experience working with or understanding the architecture of AWS/ECS services is a plus
* Agile development, continuous integration and test-driven design a plus.

We are looking for talented software developers, extensive experience is a plus but we also welcome young and ambitious fast learners.
We are offering attractive industry level salaries, based on performance/experience, level and skills (1-3k USD a as a reference only). Please note that it is only a reference and it really could be higher or lower depending on your skills.
