Action against Hunger is an international non-governmental, private, apolitical, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for Action against Hunger in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: nutrition, health, food security and water and sanitation.

GENERAL OBJECTIVES

The overall responsibility is to process and record in the accountancy system all the financial transactions   taking place in AAH Branch office in Moldova, namely cash, safe and bank management and archive all supporting documents of the transactions made. Support the administrative team in dealing with the internal and external audits. Also, this person will be the focal point with the business services provided by external corporations. 

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

To Apply the Cash and Bank Management of the Moldovan mission.
Recording of all Transactions in the Accountancy and Archiving of all Supporting Documents.
To Ensure the Appropriate Administrative Management:
To Ensure the Respect and Correct Application of Moldovan Tax Rules and Regulations:
Communication and Reporting to Finance Manager on a regular basis.
Ensure smooth and efficient communication with other departments at the coordination and base levels.
Keep the confidentiality of all AAH records and information gathered in the course of employment with AAH.

PROFILE

Higher University Studies in Accounting.
Accounting, National and Local fiscal law knowledge
Good communication skills
Organized and methodical
Proactive-demonstrates the ability to foresee problems and prevent them by acting
1-year minimum experience working as an accountant.
NGO experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of Action against Hunger would be appreciated
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) in English.
Advanced user of Excel; knowledge of Windows office package; good knowledge of accounting tools is an advantage.
Based in Chişinău, ability to travel within the country when required.
